It's your faithful little Sapphire writing to you, this time from a place called Ponyville. I hope you've been following my travels up to this point, because between here and Canterlot there's not much in the way of reliable post.

Hallo Journal!

It’s me, Sali!  I finally found a good place to land today after flying over that nasty forest!  I wasn’t going to bounce through there, no siree!  It was all dark and ugly and it was bad enough flying over it, but having to go through it?  Never!  Not in a million years!

This letter was found on one of the library desks, haphazardly placed, as if having fallen from a short distance. The date on the letter indicates that this letter was dated a day after Midnight disappeared from this world. How this letter found it's way to this world is a mystery that might never be truly solved.

Dear Diary,

It's been a while since I've written to you, but today I take quill in mouth to tell you about an amazing coincidence that happened to me.

So in our last cave exploration Lotta and I found in a small cave some gems and a small piece of wood. I kept the gems (I made a beautiful necklace for Lotta out of it! _{I remember the moment she accepted....}), and we took the piece of wood to Twilight Sparkle. She suggested that we check the same place again.

Hey everypony!  The other day my friend Sapphire Night and I found a book of fairy tales.  Like, really, -really- old fairy tales, the mouthwriting was all funny and everything!  I only got the chance to skim a few, but one really jumped out at me and I wanted to share it so I copied it down.  I guess they told this to little colts and fillies hundreds of years ago, it's very simple and short but I found it interesting and I hope you do too!
