Derpy Hooves is Ponyvilles resident postal carrier. She's also happy to do odd-jobs around Ponyville for anypony that might need some help (whether they ask for it or not). Some ponies would call her spacy. Others would call her forgetful. Even more would call her odd, peculiar or silly. She also has a tendency to get lost, take things out of context, misread simple euphemisms and travel through space and time. Still, despite all of that there's nopony around that's as prompt with the mail as Derpy!

Her cutie mark, seven floating bubbles, embodies her aloof nature. Her mind flows freely in the wind, dancing whimsically and just as quickly as her ideas appear, they pop and vanish. She gets side-tracked easily, confused regularly and often makes what other ponies call the 'Derp' face when her nose scrunches up and her eyes seem to wander off in two separate directions. Still, through it all Derpy maintains a positive outlook and tries her best to be helpful whenever she can.

Gumption: 2 - Not particularly strong but she gets around.

Quickness: 3 - A pony's gotta make sure the mail is on-time!

Excitement: 4 - Enthusiastic to the end and loves what she does!

Caring: 3- She cares about other ponies and making sure they get their mail on time. And Dinky too!

Friendship: 1 - As a postal carrier, she doesn't have much time to socialize with other ponies.
