Honestly, half the episode was me thinking 'Holy Crap, why is Cadence so pretty and awesome sounding. I want to dislike her!' and the other was 'Shipping fuel, shipping fuel, shipping fuel~'.

Anyway, loved the episodes, but now I want Season 3 to have a Cadence episode, along with the Luna and Trixie ones I already wanted. Can't wait to see how the fandom plays Cadence, though. Depending on what the more popular versions of her are, she might end up my favorite Princess. ...Honestly, she pretty much already has that spot for her voice. Holy crap, she sounds amazing <3~

Full Season finale review:

Basic observation

1. For somepony who is your BBBFF, you sure don't talk about him much. Twilight.
2. Seem like magic power runs in the family. Both Twilight and Shining Armor are immensely powerful.
3. Twilight know Cadence BEFORE she went to the exam (no cutie mark in the flash back) and since Candance is referred as a Princess before the marriage, that means Twilight family are highly associated with the Royalties.
4. Other races, Changeling, with their own Royalty (Queen and all) meaning that Equestria is a country, not the whole planet, and there are other king and queens, is confirmed.
5. There are some desert like area outside of Equestria where those Changelings are being blasted to.
6. Celestia never doubted Twilight? Well, there is a first time for everything.
7. Explosion of Love seem to be just as powerful as Harmony
8. Luna came from *outside* the bubble to take her turn. Implying that she might not live in Canterlot.
9. Celestia is also defeated by love... I'm not sure what to think about that. Goddess of Sun doesn't really mean you are powerful, nor is being a Unicorn Pegasus make you powerful.
10. They put up a HUGE forcefield. Meaning Canterlot is not necessary peaceful, there are threats, and they know there are threats. Even thought the forcefield is causing Shining Armor big headache, she is still having him keep it up. Obviously she knows something big is up. Why she isn't making it clear to the pony is beyond me.
11. DJ-Pon3 have tendency to hides under the table until somepony pull her out.
12. There are a lot of guards...
13. Her brother called Twilight "Twilly". Yay
14. He also live in a fairly modest house for a Captain.
15. Wireless Microphone. O.o
16. Sorin in Military outfit, awesome!
17. We finally found something Rarity is NOT generous about.

Other baseless assumption:

1. Love Poison seem like just the thing Queen Chrysalis would make.
2. Unicorn can possibly combine their magic, but only happens with love? Otherwise, there are no reason why they can't help Shining Armor cast the forcefield.
3. Twilight Probably learned the "Want it, need it" spell from Cadance?

Celestia wasn't defeated by love, she was beaten by a powered-up Chrysalis. My guess is the royalty of different lands are all probably about equal in power to each other, which is why not one is in total control

Chrysalis sounded surprised that she'd beaten Celestia, hence the "Shining Armor's love for you is stronger than I though, consuming it has made me even more powerful than Celestia". Which leads me to think that were she not feeding off of Armor Celestia would have sent her straight to the moon.

That was an awesome episode. Bravo!

It was a lot darker than anything I was expecting, too. I was shocked to see a lover's quarrel (the Earth pony/Pegasus couple that Cadance helped fall in love again early on), much less all the villainous gloating and actual warfare that followed.

Yeah you know what? Maybe the non-fans are right... My Little Pony is just a silly, sugary-sweet little girls' show where nothing ever happens and it's always smiles and rainbows...




And one of the characters is a pony princess with a flowing mane who's only purpose is to be pretty and sell teasets and nothing ever goes wrong in her kingdom...
